County Historical Guide Nears Completion

After much time and dedication from the entire Huntingdon County History & Heritage Roundtable the new brochure is almost ready to be published. The roundtable is fine tuning the listings, which will include 38 locations to visit with pictures of each location, hours of operation, addresses, and GPS locations for traveling convenience.

The new brochure was designed to replace the outdated history and heritage guide that was published in 1990. This new brochure publishing is being made possible by the Huntingdon County Visitors Bureau at no cost to the historical societies, museums, and historical sites, many of which operate solely through volunteers from the community.

The new brochure includes a corrosponding updated map thanks to the Huntingdon County Mapping Department, and director Sean Houck. The brochure map and each listing coinside with each other to create a heritage route that will make visiting multiple locations in the same area easier for people that are unfamilar with the areas of Huntingdon County.

Impact Media is proud to be a part of this project. Stay tuned for the release date of the new brochure. If you would like more information about the Huntingdon County History & Heritage Roundtable visit their website at HuntingdonCountyHistory.com

To Help Small Business Sale

COVID-19 has small businesses everywhere shut down and the time frame for closure keeps getting longer. This is a great time to take your business online, especially when we are told things will be different when we do get to open our doors. There just seems to be a lot of uncertainty as to how things are going to move forward.

We have decided to step up to the cause and offer our services for web development and web design at a 25% discount. We are able to serve our customers remotely over the phone, by email, or video chat.

An example of what it is going to cost: our one-page full functionable mobile friendly website which normally costs $200 is now only $150. Our full 3 to 5 pages sites start at $500, and now they are discounted to starting at only $375. Retail sites do cost more to build and the hosting is a little bit more, but it pays for itself in the first couple of orders. If you would like more information give us a call at (814) 658-3580 or drop us an email at contact@impactmediaway.com

Dealing With Business Shutdown

Many small businesses are closed while our nation is in a time of quarantine, 15 days to slow the spread, to help curve the spread of COVID-19. Our country has really pulled together but small businesses are suffering everywhere. Some businesses were able to continue to work through telecommuting, but their suffering due to the fact most of their customers are closed as well.

We are fortunate to remain open, but we also are experiencing as slowdown. One way you can help boost your business while you are shut down is to share on social media. With many Americans having to stay at home they are turning to social media to connect with people and help with their boredom. #COVID-19

Take Your Retail Business Online

In listening to the president and governor it appears things are not going to be going back to normal in just 15 days like originally requested, and then mandated. This might be a good time to take your business online, especially if you have a retail business that is shut down because it falls into the category of non-essential. I would be happy to discuss with you the many avenues that you can take depending on the size of your inventory.

Give me a call or drop me an email if this is something you might be interested in doing. We can have your online business up and running quickly. #Websites #WebDeveloper
